Don’t Forget to Get Your Rays of Sunshine or Pop a Pill

Vitamin D is so essential and important for the human body, it’s not even a debatable subject.  The body needs it for a variety of reasons, including to help absorb calcium and maintain bone health.  While we can get some quantities of Vitamin D in foods such as fish, eggs and milk– the best source of vitamin D is the sun.

Getting between 10 to 30 minutes of direct sun exposure (preferably around noon time) is the best way to get your vitamin D, according to many doctors.  So if you have the means and time, get out there on the daily and sun bathe.  If you aren’t able to do this, make sure you’re finding other ways to supplement vitamin D into your body, including taking good quality vitamin D tablets. It’s been shown vitamin D also helps with depression, fighting off certain cancers and keeping you vibrant and not fatigued.
