Sometimes They Dont’ Grow, But Still Work Them Out

It can sometimes be frustrating working out your calf muscles, because sometimes they just don’t grow very much. Why does this happen? It’s simple– genetics. Not every one is gifted with naturally big calves. ¬†Unfortunately it’s one of those body parts that really stands out when they’re lacking muscle mass. But this shouldn’t be an excuse to not train your calf muscles. It is very important for the lower body development to have strong calves, even if they’re not “popeye” calves. Here are some good exercises for building and toning your calf muscles: Standing calf raises, seated calf raises, leg pressing toe raises and donkey calf raises. Even for those of you with naturally big calves, train them for tone instead of mass. Never neglect this often-neglected body part.
